a quick update
What a gorgeous Spring day we are finally having here in Atlanta! Writing from my porch as I toss the B-A-L-L with my beloved Scoutie Sue. As this is sadly my only post this month, I felt the need to finally write in and give an update on where I am with Magnolia Thymes. This month, I had the pleasure of attending the Brand Market Workshop. Spending the day along side/being taught by some of the best creatives I have encountered to date was exactly what I needed. Brand Market gave me a sense of direction that was necessary in order for me to move forward with my dreams for this blog. With that being said, I am working these next few weeks to get things perfect, unlike they were when I started posting in January without any concrete plans or direction. Having a ton of ideas is one thing, making a plan is a whole 'nother ball game.
One of the most important things to me right now is learning how to use a camera and producing photos that I am proud of. I have a great camera, I make delicious food, now all I need is to figure out how to translate that in a photo. MUCH easier said than done. I will make no claims that I am attempting to learn how to be a professional photographer within these next few weeks of absence, but I will say that I want my photos to have a certain cohesive look, one that I believe I can achieve with time. Practice makes perfect, right?
As I stated before, Brand Market Workshop directed me towards a plan that I needed to make. This workshop did not create this plan for me, but gave me the tools that I needed in order to be my personal best. The Brand Market Workshop is given in many cities around the country and I highly, HIGHLY recommend heading to the next one closest to you!
As much as I would like to just work through my kinks live on the blog, I feel it is best for me to take a step back, work on a plan of action and come back refreshed. I have so much that I want to share with you and I can't wait for you to see it all unfold. Good Great things take time, Magnolia Thymes, will be a great thing. Stay tuned.
