atlanta streets alive
One of mine and the hubby's favorite things to do is ride our bikes. We are by no means professionals or even close to the term cyclists. We live on the Beltline, so it's and easy and fun way for us to get a little exercise or ride to our favorite restaurant or bar.
Back in September, the Atlanta Bike Coalition, held one of their Atlanta Streets Alive events. We had the pleasure of having the street we live on, North Avenue, closed down for one of these events. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this. It looped from North to Highland and then to parts of Boulevard.
As much as I would love to write and tell you that I powered through the entirety of this hill, I have zero shame in saying I made it up half way and walked. I do, however, cruise full speed down it, 100% living childhood dreams.
Stopping for beers was a must.
After we rode for a bit, we went and got Scout and walked her around the streets too. Snagged a King of Pop's. Even got a few free t-shirts!
Until next time,
